PAUL'S OBITUARY


Mr. Paul Delbert Moore, Jr., age 68, of Lexington, Indiana, entered this life on March 26, 1953 in Covington, Kentucky. He was the loving son of the late Paul Delbert Moore, Sr. and Betty Frances Winburn Moore. He was raised in Madison and graduated from Madison Consolidated High School in 1971 where he played intramural basketball. Paul was united in marriage on December 18, 1971 to Nancy Jane King at the Ryker's Ridge Baptist Church. He lived in the Jefferson County community his entire life. Paul first started a career as a plumber's helper with Ross Aldridge until he went to work for M&T Chemical for nine years in Carrollton, Kentucky in maintenance. He then worked at Meese for 35 years as a supervisor of maintenance. Paul also worked in maintenance for Cerro Wire in Crothersville, Indiana. Paul was a member of the Clifty Swingers and Butler Generals square dance clubs, June Ritchie's Clogging, and NHRA. Paul was a 40-year member of First Christian Church of Hanover where he was very active and an avid volunteer. Paul enjoyed super gas drag racing with son Wilbur, gardening, and building things on the farms. He also loved to farm, especially raising show pigs, show rabbits, and bees for honey. Paul died on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 9:36 a.m. at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

A LOVING FAMILY
Paul will be missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy Jane King Moore of Lexington, Indiana; his children, Melissa Jane Moore West and her husband Tevis of Kingsport, Tennessee, Paul Wilbur Moore of Lexington, Indiana, Betty Viola Ruth Moore Brown and her husband Michael of Deputy, Indiana; his grandchildren, Destiny Alexander West, Loeta Mae Brown, Jimmy Darrell Brown; his sister, Nancy Ann Moore Goetz and her husband Bill of Burlington, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Delbert Moore, Sr., his mother, Betty Frances Winburn Moore, his grandson, Hunter Tevis Paul West, his granddaughter, Faith Elizabeth West, his father in law, Wilbur Lee King, and his mother in law, Viola Catherine Rowlett King.
