David Canfield

Life story

Dwight Canfield, age 67, of Madison, Indiana, and the son of the late Harry and Ines (Clegg) Canfield, was born on February 20, 1953, in Madison. He attended Madison High School and retired from Canteen in 2015 as a vending route manager. He formerly worked as the grocery manager at Star Food Stores and at Bigfoot Convenient Stores. Dwight enjoyed CB radios, cooking, and loved playing music on many instruments. Tina loved when he played guitar in the kitchen for her, but he also played keyboard, drums, harmonica, and trumpet. Mr. Canfield passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the Kindred Hospital-Louisville at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

His life will be cherished by his significant other, Tina Snyder; his children: Susan Blair, David Canfield of Hanover, Thomas Canfield of Madison, Brianna Snyder of Vevay, and Brittany Snyder of Madison; his sisters: LaDonna Rue and Nancy Canfield, both of Florida; his grandchildren: Amanda Konkle, Christine Blair, and Keegan Canfield; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Betty, Barbara and Melanie; and his brothers: Jerry, Ronny and John.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Lytle Welty Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, on Madison's hilltop with interment to be held at a later date at Springdale Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 12:00 to 1:00 PM Wednesday.
