Mr. Roger Dale Phillips, age 58 of Deputy, Indiana, entered this life on May 22, 1953 in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was the loving son of Myron L. "Red" & Madie Jean Weatherbee Phillips. He resided most all of his life in Deputy and was a 1971 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. He enjoyed being in the Boys Scouts and attaining the honor of Eagle Scout. He attended the Deputy United Methodist Church. Roger had last been employed with Madison Precision until he was disabled. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, fishing, playing the guitar and carpentry. Roger passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 2:55 p.m. at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

Roger is survived by his loving son, Tom Phillips & his wife, Angie of Olympia, Kentucky; his loving daughter, Megan Elizabeth Fricke & her husband, Warren of New Albany, Indiana; his heartbroken mother, Madie Jean Weatherbee Phillips of Deputy, Indiana; his loving sister, Shirley Jenkins & her husband, Lyle of Bright, Indiana; his brother in law, Skip Jackson of Madison, Indiana; his aunts, Margaret  Collings of Scottsburg, Indiana, Joyce Finch of Indianapolis, Indiana; his nephew & nieces, Tim Thompson, Sherri Trapp, Lori Thomas, Janine Castle. He was preceded in death by his father, Myron L. "Red" Phillips died, September 9, 2010; his sister, Charlotte A. Jackson died, May 31, 2007; his grandparents, Eugene & Cammie Wyne Phillips and Hosea & Josie Muster Weatherbee.
