Mr. John Robert Konkle, age 68, a lifelong resident of Madison, Indiana entered this life on June 30, 1953 to parents Robert and Doris June Hugeback Konkle. He graduated from Madison Consolidated High school where he played basketball and later attended Franklin College. He was a longtime associate of the old Williamson-Armor Metal Group and worked as long as his health permitted. John enjoyed visiting area casinos, cheering on the Indiana University basketball team as an avid fan, following the  Cincinnati Reds, sitting on his front porch and visiting with good friends. John lost his courageous battle with esophageal cancer on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 9:47 a.m. at the home of his daughter in Madison, Indiana.

A LOVING FAMILY
John will be missed by his son, Robert Wesley "Wes" Konkle and his wife, Amanda of Richmond Hills, Georgia; his daughter, Kerri Tucker of Madison, Indiana; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; his sister, Jan Konkle of Madison, Indiana; his brother, Bruce Konkle of Columbia, South Carolina; one niece and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Doris June Hugeback Konkle, his daughter, Carla Floyd, and his sister, Gwen Konkle.
