Bill Finch

 

Mr. Charles Merrill "Bill" Finch, Jr., age 68, of South Daytona, Florida formerly of Jefferson County entered this life on May 28, 1953 in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was the loving son of Charles M. Sr. and Dorothy Creech Finch. He was raised in Deputy community and was a member of the Deputy United Methodist Church. Bill was a 1971 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. He received his bachelors from Indiana University. He was inducted into the United States Army and served as a helicopter pilot and was honorably discharged. He then was inducted into the United States Navy and flew C-31 planes and was honorably discharged. He was blessed with two sons, Casey and Harley from his marriage to Jen. He retired from Net Jets on February 22, 2019 and currently was working for Flight Safety Textron Aviation Training in Tampa, Florida and SIMCOM Aviation Training in Orlando, Florida until the time of his death. He flew earlier in life for U.S. Air when he lived in Australia. Bill was an avid golfer, loved to fly and built model aircrafts. Bill died on Friday, March 18, 2022, at the Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida.

A LOVING FAMILY 
Bill will be missed by his loving sons, Casey Finch of South Daytona, Florida, Harley Finch of Port Orange, Florida; his mother, Dorothy C. Creech Finch of Hanover, Indiana; his brother, Keith Finch of Scottsburg, Indiana; his sister, Pamela Finch Schoenstein and her husband, Bob of Madison, Indiana; his niece and his nephews, Lisa Maddox (Jason), Robbie Schoenstein, John Schoenstein (Kayla); his great nieces and great nephews, Paige Maddox, Parker Maddox, Camden, Cullen, and Colsen Schoenstein; several cousins and other relatives; the mother of his sons, Jen; and Dick and Pat Shook who he considered his Florida family. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles M. Finch, Sr., died April 5, 1977.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 11:00 am, at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Dupont Cemetery in Dupont, Indiana.
