Making contacts Posted Friday, December 16, 2011 09:41 PM I have mailed 30 letters to former classmates who I think still live in Madison/Jefferson County and surrounding areas encouraging them to get registered on the "71"site. Please, everybody, spread the word..... I have already talked (by actual telephone) to 3 former friends who I had lost touch with over the years (reconnected by this site). It was fantastic to hear from them. Pat Dryden |

RE: Making contacts Posted Friday, December 16, 2011 09:56 PM Pat - that is awesome! We now have 40 signed up to the site. If everyone got 2 people signed up, and they got 2 people signed up - we would only have to do that 3 times and we would have everyone contacted. Doug Harrell's Uncle (my math teacher) would be proud. Thank you - Don |

RE: Making contacts Posted Monday, December 19, 2011 11:40 PM I sent messages to a couple of siblings of our classmates that are on Facebook but our classmates aren't. They promised to pass the word. I see Jay Richmond every week and will pass on the info to him too. |

RE: Making contacts Posted Tuesday, February 28, 2012 10:44 PM When this post began December 16th, we had 40 members, now 2 months later we are 94 strong, but we still have 213 to find and convince to join us. I know we'll never be 100%, but I'm not ready to give up looking. Over the last couple of days I have sent out 31 letters, 1 e-mail, and 1 facebook contact to spread the word. I have completely exhausted my contact list - have you got any contact information you can share with me? I just thought of one, I don't have the mayor's address, but I know how to get a letter to his office :) Thanks - Don |
